US History Quiz Bowl with Ray

Hello there!  I’m the one they call "Ray." There are two good reasons for that.  It’s a short, simple name which makes it easier for members and guests to type (which is a service to you) and it just happens to be my real name so it’s easier for me to remember.  (And as you get older, just remembering stuff becomes one of your higher priorities.)

I’m one of those 50-somethings, single again, (and not even looking)  and I have an 23-year-old son.  I’ve been a radio broadcaster for 30 years and work at a small radio station in South Arkansas in the United States where I sell advertising for a living. My broadcast career was interrupted by an 8-year hiatus in the 90’s when I worked at a residential treatment facility for dually diagnosed children and adolescents.  I worked as a direct care giver, staff supervisor, and staff development trainer.  My years at that facility provided me with great insight into Fool Moon, namely, that there are a great many here who could benefit from regular psychiatric counseling.

Of course, I’m referring to the Staff and Administrators.  (I’m afraid the rest of you will just have to shift for yourselves.)

I love spending time on-line at  Fool Moon because this is the only site I’ve found that is truly all inclusive.  Kids, teens, young adults, older adults, all are welcome in a family atmosphere.  If you are NOT a member of  Fool Moon now, I’d encourage you to visit  the Town Meeting chat room and come meet the "Townies".  Or go straight to our Town Meeting message boards -- either way you'll have a good time.

Hope to see you on-line soon.

Ray
