My name is Jokul (Joe Cool), and I welcome YOU to the Town Meeting.  Just a little about myself: I am in my mid-30’s, living in Amarillo, Texas  I have one son who is 16.  I have been a mechanic and maintenance worker but have become disabled by Becker Muscular Dystrophy.  That’s an inconvenience for sure, but it doesn’t stop my interest in life and the world around me.   My main hobby is using the computer to meet and chat with new and interesting people. I also build model cars and play with my stereo. I enjoy learning the different political, social, and religious issues of the world. My philosophy in life is, "Knowledge is the road to Wisdom"

 Online, I’m the quiet “Townie.”  While others are stating their views, I like to sit back and take a closer look at the issues before stepping up on the soapbox.  In fact, that’s probably why I call MY weekly chat show, “A Closer LQQK!”  Each Sunday evening we gather in the Town Meeting Room  to take a close look at some normal, and some NOT so normal news stories of the day.  I invite you to join me.
